An English handwriting typeface,
made for everyday writing practice.
The two-page alphabet tracing PDF is free to view, download and print, with no sign-in or font installation needed. You can also visit the Xiguo Companion home to try the free learning activities.
We used the handwriting structures and stroke-order requirements shown in textbooks as references, then independently drew and built an installable, printable English handwriting typeface. This project is not officially authorised or endorsed by a textbook publisher.
For practicing English letters, words and short sentences. This version maps 207 Unicode characters, including all 52 uppercase and lowercase English letters, 10 digits, and selected Latin characters, punctuation and symbols. It contains no Chinese glyphs.
Compare the samples with the textbook you use before starting. This is not an official standard or a model shared by every textbook. Use a separate Chinese font for mixed-language documents, and refer to the character list and license for the exact scope.
Two A4 pages covering uppercase and lowercase A–Z. Each page has 13 rows: one model pair, two tracing pairs, then room to write independently. No font installation is needed.

Get the font on Xiguo CompanionThe font entry on the Xiguo Companion home leads to a free download after registration or sign-in with a public download account. Family accounts remain separate.
After downloading the installer, unzip it, open the font file and follow your system’s installation prompts. Reopen your document application afterward. The Chinese display name is “羲果英语书写体”; final menu names and application compatibility are still being verified.
Open the PDF and print at Actual Size or 100%. Try one page first and check the letters, guide lines and margins. Set guide lines in the document layout; do not stretch the letterforms to fit them.
Saving a font file on a phone or iPad does not install it. Support depends on the device and application; we have not tested every platform.
Parents may create and print learning materials for their children; teachers may prepare tests and classroom practice for students. Font embedding and distribution of PDF or editable learning documents are allowed within these permitted uses.
Do not use the font to make and sell textbooks, workbooks or copybooks. Other commercial uses, public redistribution of font files and web self-hosting require separate written permission. Free access is not an open-source or unrestricted commercial license.
